Enterprise Software Development & Systems Integration

Plan enterprise software, APIs and systems integration with defined scope, acceptance checks, technical documentation and knowledge transfer.

When information moves between disconnected systems or a workflow depends on spreadsheets and manual steps, the starting point is a clear problem definition. Liyan’s software services examine the workflow, users, data and technical constraints to identify what needs to be built and what can be addressed by integrating existing tools.

Scope of service

Workflow and requirements

Record the inputs, outputs, user roles and handoffs in the process. Before implementation, agree on reviewable scenarios and acceptance criteria, including what makes a request complete and who can approve it.

Software and APIs

The scope may include custom software, APIs and connections to enterprise systems. Authentication, data ownership, access boundaries and behavior during a connection failure belong in the integration design.

Testing and operational readiness

Plan checks for the main workflow, invalid inputs and communication failures. Setup instructions and a rollback procedure help the receiving team continue operating and maintaining the system.

Delivery process

1. Define the scope

Identify the priority workflow, participating systems, decision owners and project dependencies. Start with a bounded flow that can be evaluated rather than an open-ended list of features.

2. Implement in stages

Provide reviewable increments in a test environment so the organization can assess actual behavior. Evaluate requirements changes together with their impact on delivery scope and schedule.

3. Handover and enablement

Review delivery against agreed acceptance scenarios. Transfer documentation, access and maintenance responsibilities to the appropriate team according to the project agreement.

Before the first discussion

Prepare a description of the current process, non-sensitive sample data, a list of participating systems and known integration limits. API documentation and a test environment make early technical review more useful. Scope, estimates and handover details are agreed after the requirements are understood.

Common questions

Should we build new software or integrate existing tools?

Compare the gap between the actual workflow and the capabilities of current tools. The initial review should consider implementation effort and ongoing maintenance for both options.

Is post-deployment support included?

Support scope, coverage hours, incident ownership and new feature development should be explicitly defined in the cooperation agreement.
